“The World Will Be Saved by The Western Woman.”

May 29, 2023

The past few days have been emotional for women all around the world. For me, our civil liberties have been diminished and I wonder about our dystopian world.

Regardless of how you may feel, the Dalai Lama’s quote must resonate with you. Four years ago, when he shared that “The World Will Be Saved by the Western Woman,” my takeaway was that, unfortunately, much of the world’s mess has been created by men and it’s time for women to clean up the mess.

Honestly, I clean up my loving man’s mess at home so why not help clean up the mess in the world!

Visionary leader, Manuela Damant, asks the following:

  • Are we using our powers and privilege to create a positive impact around the world?

  • Are we using our compassion, kindness, cooperation, and equanimity to positively influence the people around us?

  • Are we stepping up and speaking up for the big or small possible changes that could turn the tide?

In other words, we must question ourselves and our actions. Gandhi famously said that we must “Be the Change We Wish to See in The World” and I cannot think of a better time than the present.

Lynne Twist shares that we are at a pivotal time in human history, the Sophia Century, when women take their co-equal role in partnership with men and the world will come into balance.

This upcoming decade will be the most pivotal decade in human history. Mother Earth, our societies, and our institutions are crying out for the rebalancing of feminine and masculine energies so that empathy, insight, nurturing, collaboration, compassion, and gratitude can combine with logic, reason, technology, and might to build a world that works for everyone.

We are in an extraordinary era in which women are needed to take full power, realize their feminine energy, and make positive changes to the world.

The time is now.
